Coffee for Fireys
Well what a summer we are having in Australia to kick off 2020. The whole of the east coast of the country is ablaze with land the size of Belgium already burnt, lives lost, homes lost and millions of animals dead.

Through it all some coffee places deserve a big shout out for their determination and resilience to the cause. Those who not only kept their doors open but pitched in to provide sustenance to the emergency services and were outspoken in their support for the community and battle cries to bring tourists back to the area to boost morale and the economy.
One such place is Bloody Good Coffee in Lakes Entrance, the tourist mecca for East Gippsland Victoria.
What you find here is a shop geared to its name. The baristas serve with passion, the vibe is casual but authentic and very much all about the coffee (although Im reliably told the milkshakes are on point too).
We often take our boat from Metung to Lakes Entrance and dock at the public wharf which is conveniently located across the road from the cafe. Of course this means in reverse the views from the Cafe are beachy and make for a great sit in for a coffee or breakfast.
I enjoy the coffee not for its quality, although I have no complaints, but for what it means taking this boat trip, for the barista and service you get and for the passion they have for the community. These guys stood up when the local area needed them most and for that I call on anyone passing through the area to cruise by for your daily caffeine fix.
